Founder and CEO/CTO of Quansight. Travis Oliphant has 20+ years’ experience in OSS scientific computing as the Creator of NumPy, SciPy, Conda, Numba, and XND and as the Founder of Anaconda (Continuum), NumFOCUS, and PyData. He has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Mayo Clinic.

As Founder and Head of Sales, Matt Harward leverages 20+ years’ experience in data science technical sales to form long-lasting customer partnerships. Formerly, VP of Sales at Anaconda and co-founder of PPG certifications. He has a B.A. in Business Management and Spanish from BYU.

As Managing Partner/Director of Quansight Initiate and COO of Quansight Futures, Bradden leads the company’s venture fund. As a Program Manager, Ashley Baal supports the business operations. Pearu Peterson is a Senior Software Engineer developing XND library for array computing. He specializes in mathematical physics and scientific computing, co-founded SciPy, authored F2PY, and contributed to many OSS projects. He holds a P.h.D.in Natural Sciences from Tallinn University of Technology.

As Director of Quansight Labs, Ralf Gommers supports, grows and connects open source communities. He has 10+ years’ experience in OSS scientific computing as a driving force behind NumPy, SciPy, and NumFOCUS. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from University College London.

Dharhas Pothina has expertise in computational physics, data science, visualization and geospatial analysis with 15 years of experience in state and federal government. Trent Oliphant is client-facing Software Engineer; he specializes in systems design and architecture and is a contributor to Open Team. Prior to Quansight, Trent was an Implementation Engineer for Anaconda’s data science platform. He is an accomplished musician and sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 8 years.

Daniel Althviz is a core developer of the Spyder open source project. He has been a Graduate Teaching Assistant of Software Factories and Product Lines and currently is an MSc in Software Engineering student at Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

Prasun is a Chemical Engineer and Biologist turned Scientific Software Engineer. He has been involved with multiple open-source projects aimed at scientific computing with Python, Ruby and Dlang. He has worked with University of Tennesse Health Science Centre, developing tools for Genome Wide Association Studies using GPUs and consults for major pharmaceutical companies.

Dhavide Aruliah is an applied mathematician with years of experience within academia & industry. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of British Colulmbia specializing in techniques for computational inverse problems, numerical linear algebra, and high-performance computing.

Kim Pevey is a Software Engineer with an extensive background in scientific computing, numerical modeling, and data analytics. Her expertise includes the HoloViz visualization stack and deployable web apps using Panel. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University.

Saul Shanabrook is a Software Developer and a core contributor to open source software JupyterLab and XND. His expertise is in genetic programming and has experience in web development and devops consulting. Saul holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts.

Hameer Abbasi is a regular contributor to NumPy and the maintainer of PyData/Sparse, which he hopes will replace scipy.sparse. He has a Bachelors in Electrical (Telecommunications) Engineering from NUST, Pakistan and is awaiting a Masters in Information and Communication Engineering from TU Darmstadt, Germany.

Hanna Metaferia brings more than 11 years of public and private accounting experience. Prior to joining Quansight, Hanna has served as a controller for multiple start-ups and fast-growing companies. She is a CPA and has a BBA from St. Edwards University.
